Well, now you're in a clan. So what? Is being in a clan any different from being clan-less and playing solo?
Of course it is. You joined the clan to play in a team, to help the team grow and win.
So what can and should you do to help the clan other than winning battles?
Well, apparently there are lots of things you can do that would benefit the clan.
a) Improve Clan WR
Platoon as much as possible, especially during noob-hours. Pair with teammates with similar stats as you because that would help maximize the improvement rates for both of you. When in platoon, ALWAYS use your best tank. When you platoon, you must maximize wins. If you wanted to lose battles, you can do that anytime playing solo. If you are losing often playing solo, and ALSO losing playing in platoon, when are you ever going to improve your win rate? Play to win. That helps the clan WR improve. Don't be selfish. Grind tanks on your own time, unless another teammate agreeds to help you (remember, he would be risking his WR to help you improve).
b) Train Tactics
When in platoon, don't play as if you are still playing solo and go do your own thing. Work together using the platoon tactics. The more you improve on team tactics, the better you will be in clan wars. Ask and platoon with our top players and learn their winning skills. They are top players for a reason. They obviously know something that helps them win that you don't. Go and learn. Don't be too proud to admit you need help. Practice and train. Clan wars will need everyone at their very best.
c) Recruit
If you know good players, get them into the clan. Poach other clans if you have to (but be sensible and decent. You don't want to create enemies!). The clan needs good players who can carry a game. The more such players we have, the better we will do in clan wars. However, never forget that we would prefer a good team player over a selfish Unicum. Team players help teams win. A selfish Unicum, will only help himself win. So recruit "good" players (who can help the team win).
d) Conduct Appropriately
A clan is judged by others through the conduct of its members. If you are crude and rude or crass, that's the image of the clan that people will start to associate with us. Conduct yourself with respectful conduct and humility. Be noble in bearing but never arrogant. This applies not just to outsiders, but also between clan members. Respect others and be respected in return. Ribbing, joking and insults might be fun, and a little humour is always good so long as it stays good natured. Go too far and morale breaks down into petty squabbling, something a clan does not need. Be mature. You are in a clan now, and that means you now have a social responsibility.
e) Be Loyal
Be loyal to your team mates. A clan is not a clan if it's members don't stick together. Stand up for each other. Strength is in solidarity. There is nothing more damaging to a clan than to have team members tearing each other apart with distrust and petty rivalries. If you have differences with other team member, trash it out internally out of sight of public.
f) Help Teammates
Everyone has goals and targets. It may be a target WR to achieve, or a tank you're trying to get. Help your teammates achieve them. If someone needs more credits or more EX, help them get it. A happy teammate is an effective teammate. The clan needs as many teammates as possible to be happy and at their very effective best. Help everyone progress up the tiers until the clan has as many highly successful members as possible. Being selfishly improving while leaving teammates behind might be good for you individually, but if that's your aim, then why are you in a clan?
g) Engage Members
Be friendly, be engaging. Make friends, have fun. This is more so if you are part of the leadership of the clan. Clan commander and deputies have to lead and engage the members. Encourage each other. Mind your Ps and Qs. Cheer each other on. Don't disparage anyone. Acknowledge and show gratitude for contributions that help the clan. Every must chip in. If you want to be a loner or are too proud to appreciate your clan mates, maybe you shouldn't be in a clan.
h) Be Active
Take part in clan activities. Clan forum, clan chats, clan wars, clan platoons. The more you stay active, the more this clan will be successful. A clan is a society of members. Dead inactive members equals a dead inactive clan. Participate.
Every clan will now be building up, training skill and building team camaraderie and morale. We need to make sure we don't lose this race too. The clan that works most effective as a team is the one that will win battles. A clan full of selfish Unicums is less effective than a clan of good solid team players. You don't need to fear a clan of Unicums if you are in a great team!
