Clan Wars will pit 7 of our clan against 7 of an opfor clan. The one thing you cannot do, is to continue playing like 7 solo individuals, or even separate platoons. A clan will need to move as one, everyone understanding their place in the battle line and his role in the unfolding fight. The clan that deploys best tactically as a team, will be the clan that will most likely win. A good clan with teamwork triumphs a clan of solo individual unicums any day.
*******working draft********
1. Know your tank
- fast tanks and TDs probe, scout and flank
- slow heavy hitters and assault gun TDs push the front
- slow heavy hitting TDs snipe and cover the team
2. Battle commander
- the clan will go into battle, coordinated through voice app (Discord). Everyone joining the clan war must be connected so as to be able to coordinate in battle with the team. There will be a Battle commander, picked from the clan's most tactically experienced players and pre-designated prior to the battle. Everyone is to listen and obey his commands, especially his deployment orders as the battle unfolds. Everyone is to maintain radio silence, keeping chatter to a minimum unless necessary. The battle commander will call our deployment orders at the start of battle and adjust as more opfor are discovered so it is important that he can be heard. Speak only when necessary. Use the in game text messages like "affirmative" etc. instead.
3. Set Battle opening deployment
- there will be a set of opening moves that everyone in the clan must familiarize himself with, and practice when in random battle with platmates
a) Anvil and Hammer (Pincer movement) - two balanced teams move in opposite sides of a circle around the map. The first team to hit the opfor main force becomes the anvil (blocking force) while the second team is to rush quickly to come around the opfor rear as the hammer (flanking force), smashing opfor in between. Crucial that nothing is allowed to slow and stop the flanking force once the opfor main force has been detected and engaged.
b) Reconnaissance in Force - the whole team moves as one broad wave, with TDs bringing up the rear, to sweep through the entire map. Fast tanks lead the way, probing and scouting but not yolo-ing. Stay in contact with the following slow heavy hitters and TDs who will provide covering fire and a defensive line to retreat behind if needed.
c) Entrenched Position (Fortified Ring) - the team essentially camps in a defensible position, or at flag. TDs and heavies take up nts on a ring facing outward but ever ready to shift once the opfor main thrust is detected. Fast tanks prove around, running interference, but in close support of the entrenched position, and able to fill in gaps to prevent opfor from breaking through to flank. A entrench position has no rear to flank unless the ring is broken.
